Fuelcard Sales Team Leader

Job Title: Fuelcard Sales Team Leader
Salary: up to 22,000 per annum + OTE
Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Key Tasks

  • Responsible for the daily management and development of a team of sales consultants
  • Responsible for the successful achievement of both yours and your teams sales KPI’s
  • Responsible for the accuracy and ongoing development of all sales literacy  that is utilised by your team to achieve sales targets
  • Responsible for identifying training  gaps, and supporting the training organised and implemented by the training manager in order to enable each team member to reach their full potential
  • Responsible for ensuring applications secured have met company standards
  • Utilise the companies E-Shot system to send weekly pricing / marketing communications to generate leads and gain potential customers
  • Ensure competitor information is recorded and is kept up-to-date with information which is as accurate as possible.
  • Assist the General Manager in developing and enhancing our offering to the market.
  • Assist the General Manager in helping streamline processes and gain efficiencies where possible
  • Call new business to establish and develop relationships with the aim to convert them into customers. Calls can be to either warm leads, and/or cold leads from prospecting database.
  • Assist credit control to gain information they require from prospects/customers to have an account open or to increase credits limits etc.  
  • Ensure all follow-up procedures to all potential customers are correctly maintained within the specified time scales.
  • Ensure prospecting database entries are accurate and up-to-date to ensure efficiency of sales process.
  • Ensure leads handling process is followed by your team and all sales pipelines are managed effectively to ensure all opportunities are adequately managed.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Ensure all contact is of the highest standard.
  • Complete customer queries and requests in a timely manner meeting set KPI’s.
  • Build and maintain effective internal and external working relationships.  

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure all systems are updated with accurate and up-to-date information.  
  • To ensure that all new customers are fully aware of the operation of the system, where their nearest or most requested sites are and to promote the benefits of e-mail invoicing.
  • To handle all customer objections / questions in a professional manner.    
  • All tasks to be undertaken with adherence to company policy and quality system procedures.   

Market Leadership

  • To contribute to the growth of the fuel card business through the provision of a high quality sales service to new customers.  
  • Maximise every opportunity to generate added value to the business through the promotion of additional products and services and assist with the development of new marketing initiatives and avenues to reach prospects.

Essential Skills

  • 1 years’ proven experience of running a telesales team in an outbound B2B environment
  • Educated to minimum GCSE grade C+ in Maths and English
  • Positive, drive, can-do attitude
  • IT literate in both keyboard use and Microsoft office word and outlook.
